Q & A with Fino Caliguire

Q&A with Montour's Serafino Caliguire

Serafino Caliguire, Montour, senior, lineman

Question: With a name like Serafino, what do people call you for short?

A: I go by Fino. Serafino is a family name. My grandpa was named that. I go by half my middle name because Anthony is my first name. My sister, who was born 18 months in front of me, could only say Fino when she was little. And it stuck.

Q: What's your first memory of playing football?

A: I didn't play Pee-Wee. I started in middle school working out with the team and I had no idea what I was doing.

Q: What's something about you people don't know?

A: I used to play the piano, violin and viola until I started playing football in seventh grade, then I used to play on the weekends and it got to be too much.

Q: If you could have any NFL player on your team, who would it be, and why?

A: Probably some big offensive or defensive lineman like Casey Hampton or Alan Faneca, so we'd have a big body.

Q: So you were on the team when "Bound For Glory" was being filmed. Who's a better coach, Dick Butkus or Lou Cerro?

A: That's not even a question.

Q: So, Lou Cerro?

A: Definitely.
